We love working with quality British manufacturers, even more so if they’re local to us here in Northampton. So it’s a huge pleasure to introduce these exceptional handcrafted premium leather guitar straps, made exclusively for us by Daniel Bailey in the village of Spratton just outside Northampton.  The straps have been made by Dan using a range of traditional tools and stamps mostly made in Northamptonshire. The sheer quality of the leather, combined with the skill, care and attention to detail that has gone into creating each strap results in something to treasure for a lifetime.

These Rockingham straps have a vintage style, made from beautifully soft leather and treated on the reverse to create a low friction finish that won’t “catch” on your clothing when you’re moving your guitar around. Every detail from the radius of each curve, the width of the strap and pad, and design of the punch we use for the strap button holes has been carefully considered to provide the best possible function and comfort.

These straps are available in pristine finish with sparkling hardware, or a lightly aged finish with authentic subtle wear on the leather and aged hardware. Four beautiful colours are available. Each strap is packed in a premium presentation box.

The leather is supplied by a merchant in Northamptonshire.  The tannery is based in Tuscany, family owned, real artisans who produce some of the best naturally vegetable tanned leathers available. Each hide is made with the famous Pelle al Vegetale ‘hand’ mark denoting that the leather has been produced in sustainable way to the highest standards.  Vegetable tanning uses natural plant extracts to tan the leather, this method is time consuming each hide takes around 6 months to process, but has the benefits of creating a durable, supple leather which will gain character and improve with age.  Once tanned each hide is carefully hand finished creating a luxurious leather with a slight aged appearance, no two hides are the same.  The straps are meticulously finished  with metalwork  produced in the UK by one of the most renowned foundries, who hold a Royal Warrant for the supply of these goods, procured to our requirements.
