Gordon Smith Guitars are handbuilt by a team of highly skilled luthiers at a workshop in Northamptonshire. Each guitar is crafted from the finest tone wood, and is meticulously finished to create a level of quality many of the bigger manufacturers could only dream of. The fabulous build quality is complemented by the best quality hardware and Gordon Smith’s own hand wound pickups resulting in instruments with superb playability and beautiful tone.
This Classic T is the first in a new Super-Lite series from Gordon Smith using specially selected woods chosen to produce exceptionally light instruments – amazingly this one is less than 6lbs. This spectacular guitar has a premium feel with its lightweight paulownia body with striking glossy Tobacco Burst finish and slim profile roasted flamed maple neck and fretboard. The pickups are the new Gordon Smith “Higham Honk” single coils custom wound to complement this tonewood – traditional T style pickups, warm but clear in the neck, all the punch you would expect in the bridge with added depth. They’re made with 43 gauge enamelled copper wire, scatter wound by hand onto traditional fibre bobbins, wax potted with an additional cotton dress in the bridge.
Comes with an ABS Gordon Smith hardcase.
