Ivison Guitars is a small, boutique electric guitar company based in Worcestershire, UK.  All Ivison guitars are hand built, one at a time by Neil Ivison, from raw lumber selection to the final hand buffed ‘vintage patina’ finish using the finest quality materials available and using traditional construction methods and techniques. 

The Dakota was inspired by Neil’s love of the classic tones of Johnny Winter and Allen Collins (Lynyrd Skynyrd).  Envisaged as the soul of the radical mid 60’s, auto inspired classics with a more ergonomic, manageable vintage Single Cut feel. This Dakota One is a stripped down version of the model, designed to be an all out rock’n’roll machine, with the single bridge pickup tweaked to be slightly hotter than standard and when coupled with the simple wraparound bridge and unbound, old growth neck, you get a resonant, articulate and hugely satisfying instrument. Featuring a 3 piece mahogany body construction with a raised centre block and ‘wings’, one piece mahogany neck, bound Indian rosewood fingerboard with celluloid dots, hot-wound Sunbear Sunbird Mini Humbucker pickup (wound to 11k output), aged Faber wraparound bridge and hardware and  premium CTS & Switchcraft components. Finished in classic Aged Factory Black.

Comes with a Hiscox hardcase and certificate of authenticity.
