Ivison Guitars is a small, boutique electric guitar company based in Worcestershire, UK.  All Ivison guitars are hand built, one at a time by Neil Ivison, from raw lumber selection to the final hand buffed ‘vintage patina’ finish using the finest quality materials available and using traditional construction methods and techniques. 

The Dakota was inspired by Neil’s love of the classic tones of Johnny Winter and Allen Collins (Lynyrd Skynyrd).  Envisaged as the soul of the radical mid 60’s, auto inspired classics with a more ergonomic, manageable vintage Single Cut feel. This Dakota One is a stripped down version of the model, designed to be an all out rock’n’roll machine, with the single Sunbird bridge pickup , which when coupled with the simple wraparound bridge and unbound, old growth neck, results in a resonant, articulate and hugely satisfying instrument. Featuring a beautifully grained koruna body with a raised centre block and ‘wings’, one piece korina neck, Indian rosewood fingerboard with celluloid dots, Sunbear Sunbird Mini Humbucker pickup, aged Faber wraparound bridge and hardware and  premium CTS & Switchcraft components. This is the Dakota model famously used by Guns’n’Roses Richard Fortus in their headline set at the Glastonbury Festival in 2023 and throughout their subsequent world tour.

Comes with a Hiscox hardcase and certificate of authenticity.
