Description
If you’re in the market for a real Martin but your budget won’t stretch to the conventional US made models, this guitar could be worth considering. Martin X series guitars use innovative materials to produce really nice quality, great playing acoustics at more accessible prices – less than £500 for this used Martin dreadnought model in fantastic condition. The top is solid sitka spruce, while the back and side are made from Martin’s HPL – High Pressure Laminate – with an Indian rosewood appearance. The neck is from another laminate material – Stratabond in this case – all in a smooth satin finish. The guitar plays very nicely with a big rounded tone – if more volume is needed there is a Fishman preamp on board. The condition is excellent, no marks or scuffs evident, just the mildest wear on the lower frets hint at the fact this Martin is over 10 years old. Comes with a Roksak gigbag.
