PJD Guitars are handcrafted by Leigh Dovey and his team at their impressive workshop in York, UK. PJD specialise in a range of classically inspired, beautifully built premium quality instruments, made with the finest woods and components. These are professional grade guitars built to perform.

This example is the pinnacle of PJD’s output. Individually master built by PJD founder Leigh Dovey, this PJD Carey Custom is an exceptional instrument made from premium materials with gold hardware, featuring a chambered, bound rich African mahogany body, with matching top and immaculate cream binding. This construction creates a beautifully lightweight instrument.  The neck is made from roasted maple with a rosewood fret board, with a custom neck profile based on a standard “C” shape. The heel block is contoured for comfort. Pickups are the amazing Bareknuckle The Mule humbuckers – the closest thing you can get to Classic ’59 Burst tones without having to sell your house. The Carey Custom is supplied with a hard case and PJD certificate of authenticity.
